Powergate V3.86 - Personal OBD Programmer

Powergate has an internal memory which can contain, in addition to the original file, two different maps. In this way, the owner of the vehicle has always at his disposal two different developing steps of the map, to be uploaded on the ECU at any moment.

Updating protocols of communication has never been so easy: a connection to the internet and a few minutes are all it is required to access Alientech Data Bank for downloading everything is needed to make Powergate operative on the largest number of vehicles as possible. This solution was studied for different operating situations, as it is suitable both to professional tuners who want to propose a product always up-to-date, than to users who make use of Powergate solely on their own cars. A very versatile device with first-class features.

The display of items on its large screen is very simple. The device itself will guide you through the reading and writing of the ECU, with clear and detailed instructions. Another interesting innovation of Powergate is the option to quickly and easily check and erase DTC Errors.

PWGpro is the software to manage Powergate, a simple interface that guides user from choosing the vehicle, to saving and uploading several mapping files, ready to be written directly on the vehicle.

Powergate M - available from version M01 to M12, is addressed to professional tuner only for programming vehicles of a certain brand.

3. How to programmer keys with vagtacho usb 4.0
Switch ON ignition with any key new or old, no mater which one.
Start software, select "VDO NEW - CAN bus" from menu.
Press "Connect Selected ECU" button, after 5 seconds the data of the dash will be shown on screen.
Press "Program New Key", software will read data from the dash and after few seconds a new window will be open.
See the picture. ID numbers of the transponders which are stored into memory will be shown.


This is TMPro module#146 window. Insert transponder key with new Megamos ID48 chip and program it.

Press "Add Key" and a message will be shown. Switch ON ignition with key which you want to program! The key may be new - already programmed with TM Pro, or old - key which has been used with the same car! Vagtacho will check the key. If this key is already programmed to the car, or it is from another car, Vagtacho will show warning message on screen and won't program this key!




If everything is ok, Vagtacho will add the new key into the data of immobilizer and will show ID number of new key on screen. See the red mark on the picture. Now you are ready to program the new transponder key into the immobilizer. Press "Write Keys" to complete programming procedure !




 

Press "Write Keys" and the warning window will be open. If you are sure that everything is all right, press"Continue", otherwise press "Cancel". If you press "Cancel" nothing will happens, and the data won't be written into immobiliser. After pressing "Continue" Vagtacho will writes the data into immobiliser after few seconds. The dash will be reset, and the programming procedure will be completed!
This is the last step, after this the new data will be written into immobiliser! If you have marked and erased some keys, they will NOT works anymore!

Press "Write Keys" and the warning window will be open. If you are sure that everything is all right, press"Continue", otherwise press "Cancel". If you press "Cancel" nothing will happens, and the data won't be written into immobiliser. After pressing "Continue" Vagtacho will writes the data into immobiliser after few seconds. The dash will be reset, and the programming procedure will be completed!
This is the last step, after this the new data will be written into immobiliser! If you have marked and erased some keys, they will NOT works anymore!
This picture shows the final Vagtacho window. If you have switched ON ignition with key which is already programmed by TMPro, the warning lamp of immobiliser on the dash will be turned off. The new key is already stored into immobiliser and you can start engine!
If the immobiliser's warning lamp on the dash is still flashing, there is some error in programming procedure, you can check the transponder key - see how to do this on the next picture!



Switch ON ignition with the key which you want to test! Start software, select "VDO NEW - CAN bus" from menu, and press"Transponder Check". Vagtacho will connects immobiliser. Press "Read ECU Info" button, and wait about 10 seconds. The information about this transponder key will be displayed on screen, see the next picture. You can press "Read ECU Info" to testing of transponder key again. This procedure is optional, and is not required when programming the new keys.



Switch ON ignition with the key which you want to test! Start software, select "VDO NEW - CAN bus" from menu, and press"Transponder Check". Vagtacho will connects immobiliser. Press "Read ECU Info" button, and wait about 10 seconds. The information about this transponder key will be displayed on screen, see the next picture. You can press "Read ECU Info" to testing of transponder key again. This procedure is optional, and is not required when programming the new keys
Transponder variable part and transponder locked must be "YES", otherwise there are errors in programming of the new key with TMPro!
Transponder fixed part must be "YES" otherwise the key is still not programmed into immobiliser, or Vagtacho programming procedure is not completed successfully. In case of such error, repeat whole programming procedure again with another new transponder! All parameters must be set "YES"!

DAF Adblueobd2 Emulator Installation

The connections details diagram and wire colours refer to IVECO STRALIS Year 2009, but the main procedure of the minusblue module does not vary. Before proceeding make sure no faulty codes are memorised in the original ECU, Adblueobd2 liquid is higher than the reserve level and the truck batteries are disconnected from the system.

DAF Adblueobd2 Emulator Wiring

5 conductors:

1) RED(+15). To be connected to a 24V source enabled when the engine key is in the ON position. This connection will supply power to the minusble Module when the engine key is on(dashboard on).
2) BLACK(0V). To be connected to an earth.
3) GREY(+30). To be connected to a 24V supply always available to the existing Adblueobd2 system (F4 protection fuse and the Adblueobd2 system).
4) WHITE(CAN H). To be connected to CAN H of the system.
5) BROWN(CAN L). To be connected to CAN L of the system.
The connections must be made under the box of the connectors located under the protection cover of the radiator(passenger side).
The conductor of the ground of the Adblueobd2 have the number 0000, but it is possible to use another ground conductor found by a multimeter.

DAF Adblueobd2 Emulator Activation

The minusblue module and the original Adblueobd2 module CANNOT both be activated at the same time, the GREY ACTIVATION WIRE(+30) is to enable the minusblue module working.

It is important to connect the GREY ACTIVATION WIRE(+30) to a 24V source always available(battery), moreover, the soldering operation must be done between the 20A fuse(F4) and the existing Adblueobd2 module.
If you want to stop and exclude the original Adblueobd2 module from working, all that needs to be done is to remove the F4 fuse before starting the engine.

The minusblue module will automatically be activated.To re-instate the original Adblueobd2 module, all that needs to be done is to reinstall F4 fuse before starting the engine. The minusblue module will automatically be de-activated.

DAF Adblueobd2 Emulator Self Learning

When the minusblue module is fully connected to the electrical circuit of the original Adblueobd2 module, and after identification of the F4 fuse controlling the power feeding to the original Adblueobd2 module the truck batteries can be
Re-connected.

The minusblue module aquires the inputs from the CANBUS the first time the dashboard is turned on(key on but engine still off).
1) Make sure the F4 fuse is inserted.
2) Turn on the dashboard(key on) and verify that the red led is on.
3) After approx 1 minute the RED led will turn off and the green led will turn on.
4) Switch off the dashboard(key off).

After this procedure the minusblue module will be activated whenever the dashboard is turned on(key on).
The result will be:
1) If the F4 fuse is installed the original Adblueobd2 system will be working. Both red and green leds will be on.
2) If the F4 fuse is not installed the original Adblueobd2 system will not be working and the minusblue module will be activated. Both red and Green led will be flashing.
